Seminar between Confucius Institute at UCTS and The United Association of Private Chinese Secondary School, Boards of Management, Sibu Division, Sarawak
The seminar was held on 25 November 2020 at Wisma Huawen Du Zhong. The purpose of this seminar is to introduce and promote Confucius Institute at UCTS.
The United Association of Private Chinese Secondary School, Boards of Management and Chinese Independent High Schools are looking forward for long term cooperation with Confucius Institute at UCTS as an effort to support Chinese-language education and the future development of high school students. In this aspect, Confucius Institute at UCTS could provide Chinese testing, scholarships, teacher training and certification. Not only that, Confucius Institute at UCTS could also provide relevant information in developing the course syllabus.
The United Association of Private Chinese Secondary School, Boards of Management and Chinese Independent High Schools intent to jointly organize cultural events with Confucius Institute at UCTS. In this regards, Confucius Institute at UCTS could organize short term cultural courses by inviting teachers from China to teach Calligraphy, Martial Art, Paper Cut and so on.
The Foreign Dean of Confucius Institute at UCTS also promotes “2020 Chinese Bridge Online Group Communication Activities” during the seminar. The activities involved
- Online Chinese Courses (HSK courses),
- Online Art Courses (Chinese Painting, Calligraphy, Celebrities of Chinese Culture, Henan Opera, Henan Cuisine and so on) and
- Online Tourism (North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power (NCWU) campus, Yellow River Tourism Spot, Shaolin Temple, Baima Temple, Millennium City Park, Suitang Dynasty Relies Park and so on).
